WIC
Mom's Shower
The WIC Mom’s
Shower is a community project funded, developed and staffed by a committee
of local service organizations. It is typically held each year in
mid-April. During the Shower, information is provided on prenatal
care, nutrition, child development and parenting to expectant women,
and mothers of children under the age of two.

Free Program |
|
A free
program designed especially to help pregnant women, women
with small children or uninsured individuals quit using tobacco
has been announced by the Greene County Tobacco Control Program.
Approximately 20 people will be accepted into the Bee Free
Program, based on an initial evaluation conducted by phone.
Greene County Tobacco Control is collaborating on this program
with Partners in Corporate Health, Inc., an organization that
began offering tobacco cessation services to individuals in
2000--and has since guided more than 15,000 people through
the quit process using a customized telephone-based program.
Each participant will receive an initial packet of information,
telephone counseling and free nicotine replacement therapy
with a physician's consent.

| A
free program designed especially to help people who want to
quit using tobacco has been announced by the Greene County
Tobacco Control Program. SmokeStoppers, a group program to
help people gain the strength and reinforcement they need
to quit.
